What a difference a year makes!

Last year I hit up the Legends event on a whim, after just giving birth to a baby and this blog! I met Susanna Salk who gave me my very first interview… (who has since become an inspiration and a mentor to me)… and I thoroughly enjoyed the windows, graced with the time to stroll around leisurely and take a good gander!

This year was packed with events and people to meet… and I am ever so grateful for the opportunities that have come my way. It was a wonderful few days… and I hope to have established some life-long friends and hopefully some collaborations too!

The only reason I’m disappointed? I didn’t really have time to check out the window displays! GAH!

So what I promise to do… is to go back Tuesday and take a nice, slow stroll back up La Cienega and grab some great pictures for you… because they’re worth it… and so are the designers who put the time and effort in to create them!

In the meantime… a look back at my Legends experience…

Bloggers Breakfast in the gorgeous Lee Stanton courtyard…

I’ve always loved this canopy of green… so serene.

… and I LOVE this lovely girl… Ms. Kelly Lee of Kelly GoLightly!

Toes “in the know”… Kelly GoLightly, Glitter ‘N Glue, et moi too!

Post breakfast breakfast… cuz that’s how we roll (or croissant, in this case).

My “anniversary date” with Susanna Salk at her C.Z. Guest: American Style Icon, book signing.

Super sexy chandeliers at Downtown

Now THIS was an eye-catching window!

My friend Natalie, Kelly, and I at the Traditional Home party. We Shut. It. Down. Literally…

Oh… just a little chat with a personal Legend, THE Kelly Wearstler. Totally channeled her tough chic mama vibe with the outfit this day…

Graphic geometry and gold feet… couldn’t be anyone else but KW!

The newly dubbed Legendettes by Kelly GoLightly…

Ronda Carman (All The Best Blog) book signing and panel for Designers At Home at Harbinger. This panel, which included Mat Sanders, editorial director of Domaine Home, Joe Lucas (of Harbinger), and Malcolm James Kutner had us in tears!

Crazy Reflections…

Couldn’t leave Legends without bumping into Nathan Turner… who happened to be my twinsie for the evening! Camo and neon… YES!
