Yes. I realize I live in LA… where it is perpetually warm, and even in September and October it is not unlikely for the city to clock in temperatures reaching ninety degrees… BUT… if you are a coat junkie like I am… there is no deterrent, no temperature, no heat wave strong enough to keep me from my bomber, leather, camel, or military coat!

I treat my coats like a great bag or a bomb pair of shoes… they can MAKE an outfit. Like even if your outfit isn’t an “outfit”… the coat will make it one (I am also a firm believer that you can pair any coat with jeans and some great sneakers, and voila… “classic cool”) .

One of my all time favorite coats (and one that will reappear every fall)… is one with military details. The red piping and brass button accents on this Zara version make it a real standout!

You just can’t help but feel polished the moment you put it on.

A few of my fave military inspired coats are shown below!

Another really fun look… one you’ll see as soon as the words “back to school” start plastering the headlines… is the bomber jacket.

What I love most about the bomber is that it comes in SO many varieties. If you crave a bomber… I guarantee there is version for you.

This one by Zara is embroidered and reversible… and again… it’s all in the details!

Bombs away!

And finally… to show you that what goes around comes around (these are FLASHBACKS… I am NOT preggers again… ha!)… the denim jacket and leather moto will be in style each and EVERY fall and winter… guaranteed (these photos are three years old)! The leather is an investment piece, but I can promise you… you will get your money’s worth. I wear mine with jeans, skirts, over black-tie dresses, you name it (except WITH leather pants… unless you are channeling Olivia Newton John for Halloween).

Shop denim and leather (I’ve included a really great faux leather version too) here!

A special thank you to Annette Vartanian of A Vintage Splendor for our lady date and photo session (you were a FABULOUS photographer!). In order to bring you more fashion posts (as requested)… I will rely on a little help from my friends 😉 .

And another thank you to Christian Paul for the gorgeous watch… the blush band and rose gold were a perfectly beautiful fit. Make sure to check them out… I had never seen their pieces before this one was sent to me (and I am very picky regarding these sorts of things)… and I opened the box… and it was stunning!
