I was inspired by my friend and favorite vintage spot owner, Staci Cain of 45 Three Modern Vintage Home, when she posted this pic of one of her reupholstered chairs last Friday. How gorgeous are the bones of this chair… and how fun are these fabrics together!!! I’m seriously in love!
The current design of the Union Jack flag, the national flag of the United Kingdom, dates all the way back to 1801. The flag consists of the red cross of Saint George (patron saint of England), edged in white, superimposed on the Cross of St Patrick (patron saint of Ireland), which are superimposed on the Saltire of Saint Andrew (patron saint of Scotland). It’s a whole lot of meaning packed inside a super graphic punch!
Popularity of the Union Jack soared during the punk movement of the late 70’s and early 80’s, but has re-emerged recently for it’s dynamic design capabilities.
