These Olympic games are chock full of design inspiration. If I was actually in London, the visit alone could carry this blog for the next month or two! But alas… I don’t want to bore OR beat you over the head with it, so here is my final homage to this Olympiad via a flame featured finale.

Super cute, no?
Flame stitch patterns are centuries old and originate from Florence, Italy. They’ve survived the test of time with their bold use of color and geometric pattern. I’m DYING over this bench!
Antique Brass Flame Table Lamps From Etsy
These vintage flame lamps probably date from the 20’s and have that era’s signature Deco look. They’re kinda funky, but with the right shade could be surprisingly sun-sational.
These Prada flame shoes from Spring 2012 were seen burning bright on the heels of stars (like Fergie, Katy Perry and Kylie Minogue).

Metallic Flame Stitch Dress by M Missoni from Shopbop.com
You can’t mention flame stitch without thinking of Missoni. Classic.
HA! I couldn’t resist ;). Only Heat Miser could pull off a flame inspired do (or maybe Rihanna too).
