I’ve always wanted to write in diaries… to chronicle my life in an epic and important way, a la some melodramatic romantic heroine of old (I was an English Lit major… give me a break ;)).
… but F*ck it… melodrama is a bit too time-consuming and it doesn’t work well as a mom, so I’ve turned to “one-liners” (and this blog) to document my days here on earth.
Chronicle books has made the journey of the journal easy, accessible, drama free, and dare I say… FUN… with their line of journals and notebooks for literally, every age and occasion. Most of them require only a line or two to get the job done, which works for most of us when we have too many jobs to do…
Here are few of my faves… I hope my future generations find me witty and worthwhile… or at least worth a smile :).
 Epic Fails and Epic Wins
Turn your failures into life lessons with this humorous take on winning and losing. I’d love to get this for my kiddo when he is a teen… “failures” should be tempered with a dose of good cheer, not laced with fear, and this would be a great way to teach that mindset.
One Line A Day… A Five Year Memory Book
I have this on my desk because it looks pretty… but I HOPE to turn it into something witty!
 My Quotable Kid
This is a must-have for any mom and dad! Before sentences are even formed, mispronunciations abound and are worth hundreds of giggles per memory found!
Pantone 2012 Color Of The Year Journal
More of a catch-all for my design ideas… good thing I like Tangerine! What color do you think 2013 will bring?
My Beautiful Life, My Autobiography In Drawings
This one sounds melodramatic and important, until you open it up and see a sketch of  my former cat shitting on my bed. Ahhhhh… a picture (or sketch) is worth a thousand &#%!@?! words!
