I’m headed over to Nathan Turner’s shop this Tuesday for a little interview and I’m excited to sit down with the The Season 1 Million Dollar Decorator to talk about his experience with the show, his friendship with “Mums” ;), and Nathan Turner’s American Style, his first book published last year.
It’s a beautiful album, showcasing his unfussy, but definitively high style interiors… and it’s also packed with recipes and some really useful decor tips that are signature Nathan.
Come back Wednesday to read the interview, and to enter for a chance to win a signed copy!

One of my FAVORITE tips from the book for a small space…so charming and so FUNCTIONAL!
“I bought a sixty inch round catering table. They’re about one hundred dollars. No joke. Then I had a heavy canvas table skirt made and had a piece of glass cut to fit on top (that also limits the amount of times I have to clean the tablecloth and it creates a better work surface). The total cost for everything was under $500, but here’s the best part: There’s storage under that tablecloth! I always end up putting work things, boxes, whatever, under the table.”

Easy-peasy centerpiece tip…
“Get a simple Styrofoam ball from a craft store, then put a toothpick into a small crab apple and insert the other end of the toothpick into the Styrofoam. Repeat until the whole thing is covered. Here, I placed it in an antique urn, but you could place a wooden dowel into it and put it in a pot like a true topiary.”
