About a week ago… I decided to enter a contest for the chance to win a scholarship, sponsored by Lamps Plus, to the 2013 Design Bloggers Conference. We were asked to describe our blog, our financial need pertaining to the conference, and why we are deserving of sponsorship. Well they liked me… they really, really liked me… cuz I won… along with these other four lovely ladies below! Our submissions were judged by Anne Sage of The City Sage, Lisa Ferguson of Decor Mentor and Emily Henderson, winner of HGTV’s Design Star and host of Secrets From A Stylist.
If you are interested in learning more about the conference… follow the link above… but in a nutshell, it is the premier conference for new media and the interior design industry, with the opportunity to learn how to build a stellar personal brand, blog, and design career. The scholarship winners will receive a free conference pass (a hefty fee!) and will also be invited to submit a guest blog to appear on the Design Bloggers Conference website profiling how they got started, their blog, and their aspirations.
I feel so blessed to be included and can’t wait to thank each judge personally and to meet my fellow scholarship winners! Of course I will keep you posted along the way ;)…
