Hammer And Spear... Grand Opening

Thursday evening I was invited by my good friend Troy Williams to attend the grand opening of Hammer and Spear… a cool new interior design boutique and firm specializing in vintage and collectible goods.

It had been a long day (Jury Duty, meetings and such)… and I almost pulled out… but Troy convinced me to go and OMG am I happy I did!

You probably know owner Kristan Cunningham from her ten seasons on HGTV’s “Design On A Dime” and appearances on shows such as The Talk, The View, Today, etc., but in this venture she is part of a dynamic duo… hello husband Scott!… and together they have conceived a space that is unique, warm, masculine with a hint of glam (lots of gold and brass!), and all-around downtown cool.

They feature designers such as Adrien Pearsall, Mastercraft, Karl Springer, and Percival Lafer. They also add personal touches with the addition of products such as artisanal apple butter from their home state of WV, and dog leashes from Found My Animal.

The real kicker, though? They’ve determined to keep the pricing competitive… and by competitive I mean that you can own a true work of art for a fraction of the price you’ll find at other boutiques.

This takes a LOT of research, hours, and legwork on Kristan and Scott’s end… so stop in, smile (impossible not to), shop and show your appreciation… because they’ve already shown US the love with their impeccably curated and perfectly priced pieces.
