If you’ve been hopping around various blogs recently (post Easter pun not intended)… then you’ve probably come across some posts about the Threshold for Target line.
It includes some really great “designer friendly” pieces that are, of course, budget-friendly too.
Now I haven’t checked them out in person yet (which is UBER important)… but these are the items that have caught my eye online.
I’ve heard some reviews about improper scale, and questionable quality on certain lamps, pillows and large scale furniture choices… but on the other hand, I’ve read some very positive statements too.
Bottom line… you DO get what you pay for… but I believe all budget-friendly purchases can be styled to the max (and worth their weight in pennies vs. gold)!
And mixed with vintage and pricier pieces?… Your Target find can feel right at home ;).
Has anyone tried this collection? Let me know your thoughts!
(I have a friend that is currently moving into her own digs… I’m going to drag her with me to check out Threshold in person this week. I’ll give you my “hands on” review asap!)
1. Bath Collection Clear/Brass: This set is pretty and functional (I really love the tumbler with cup). Not sure about the mirror (I’d spring for a vintage find)… but you can purchase each piece separately, which makes mixing and matching possible.
2. Iron Wire Table: This table could be a serious home run! No need to over style it… just let the texture and metal pop speak for itself in a cozy little corner.
3. End Table With Woven Top: Great shape and color! I’d love two of them as bedside tables in a bedroom that is short on space.
4. Criss Cross Shag Area Rug: Amazing price… great look. Definitely need to feel it in person, though.
5. Upstate Pouf: Great texture, neutral color, extra seating, perfect price point… BAM! (Or should I say… POUF!)
6. X Console Table: This table is screaming “style me”!
7. Urban Accent Rug: I love the color of this rug. Because of it’s small size… I would use it in the bathroom.
8. Bathroom Wastebasket: I think I might snag this for my office. It’s so hard to find a “pretty” wastebasket, no?
9. Pharmacy Floor Lamp: I like this lamp for a small apartment or small space. The clean lines and minimal footprint will keep the view unobstructed but the piece still has a classic style that’s easy on the eyes.
10. Yarn Embroidered Pillow: The black and white is graphic and hints at deco…would look great anywhere!
