Ever since I first laid my eyes on the Peacock mirror, strolling hand in hand with my hubby through the Parker Palm Springs hotel many years ago, I just KNEW I had fallen in love!
Gorgeous, grand and gleaming… I knew I would use this piece in a home some day. And I did!
It’s been a few years since then, but I now have a client’s home that is just begging for this pretty as a peacock piece. Imagine my delight when said client fell JUST as in love as when I first did ;)…
… and imagine my horror when I found that Wisteria doesn’t make this version (pictured first, below) anymore… Why Wisteria, why???
They make a Baby Peacock mirror… but in this client’s home… size DOES matter… so a miniature version just won’t do.
Thankfully there are now some knock offs. They don’t get me quite as excited, but I will give Restoration Hardware’s version a chance. The finish seems a little more dull, but maybe that is just the pic. I will let you know what I think once we receive it.
In the meantime… an homage to my fine feathered friend…
