Happy New Year’s Day everyone! I feel like hustling… how ’bout you?

2013 was a great year for me full of travel, inspiration, work, and collaboration… and I’m hungry for more! Like seriously… I just can’t stop (no we won’t stop!).

My 2014 predictions and horoscopes predict more of the same, so I’m going to stay on this train and I hope you’ll travel with me! Where would you like to see us go?

Here’s the path I’m going to take…

1.Create/Collaborate: My creative fire is… well… on fire! Some of my most successful posts this year have shown my creativity, and that’s where my passion lives, so I’m going to create, design, and collaborate as much as a new mommy of 2 will allow! And collaboration BTW… one of the BEST ways to stoke the fire! I’ve been so inspired by the people I’ve met and worked with this year!

2. Make Time: Sometimes it seems impossible, but if you push, squeeze, sacrifice and get smart… you can find the time you need. In my case… it’s time for you and this blog. I let it slip a bit towards the end of the year, but I promise to bring more posts (back to 5 a week!), better posts, beautiful photography and content you’ll just LOVE to look at!

3. Simplify: This past year I played around a bit with what I thought this blog should be. I think it’s simple… just be me ;). I know what feels authentic… and it’s what brings the best response. You’ve made it easy… thank you!

4. Love: Well this a grandiose word, but it also makes things simple. Love what you do, and shit will happen.

5. Make Clear Cut Goals: It works. Write down what you want, and you will see your dreams come alive. I was able to “check mark” a few of mine from last year, and boy does it feel good! Make them clear cut and achievable! This year? I’ve got some magazines on my radar, specific collaborations to cement, places to visit, and features to be featured in. They’re sitting right on my desk and I’ll stare at them every day… how bout you?

6. Believe: Oh this is just so easy, right? Believe in yourself… each. and. every. day.

7. Cook (more): Cue eye-roll from the hubs… but this is on my list every year. I won’t give up! Even three new meals to my repertoire please!

8. Keep Consistent: Consistency is key in life. Whether it be in cooking, creating, exercising, lovemaking (oh yeah), blogging, etc. etc. It’s beneficial for you, and for those around you. Definitely need to work on this more this year…

9. Reach Out: Something I did last year that was SO beneficial! I didn’t always hear back, but when I did… it was supercalafragalisticexpialadopeshit!  Reach out and reach for the stars babes!

10. Publish: … or to get published, rather. Seeing my work on other blogs and media outlets is the bomb! I’m going to stare down that list on my desk until it explodes into a reality!

11. Make Time For Me: This mostly means… TO EXERCISE. Gawd… I let this one go this year. To be fair… I’m pregnant, we traveled, and I lost some help along the way, but a healthy wife (and mom)  = a happy life (for daddy and kiddos). However I can make it happen… I’ve GOT to make it happen!

12. Travel: Nothing inspires more. Nothing. Wanna argue? Try going somewhere new and NOT be inspired, shaken up, opened up and stretched.

13: Inspire/Build: I think these two work well together, no? I’ve got my eye on a few design projects which I can’t WAIT to share and I hope will inspire you! And I also will take the time and money and effort to build this blog and make it better. Some tweaks and twerks to get it to a place that will represent me even better stylistically, and to keep you coming back for more!

14: Stretch: … both mentally and physically! Back to yoga first of all (I’m a certified instructor for Pete’s sake! GAH!). And back to school… whatever that may be. I hit up a conference in the beginning of 2013, and a photoshop workshop at the end. That was a nice big stretch. Let’s do it again!

I hope this list is helpful… and I hope it inspires you to sit down and write your own!

Now I’m off to planning my first big shoot and collaboration (that means you Fanny ;)) of the year, before the project I’ve been cooking up for the last nine months comes to fruition at the end of the month (BABY GIRL!).

Cheers to 2014… Let’s see what you bring!
