As we prepare to leave Los Angeles for a week and head for the gritty streets of New York (and our first actual stay in Brooklyn)… I’ve decided to round up some California eye candy for you with a compilation of some of my most recent photos …
I am such a “city girl”… but my soul resides at the beach…
I escape to the water at least two to three times a week both with and without my kiddos in tow!
This was one of the first “evening sessions” of the season, while it was still a bit cloudy (and we were miraculously alone!)…
And this is an amazingly sunny day at The Annenberg Community Beach House, which is where you will find us most of the time. It’s free to the public, has a very convenient boardwalk out to the beach, a playground, and a restaurant with sand-in-the-toes seating. It’s pretty much perfection.
I mean…palm trees, bougainvillea and beach sand? Can’t get much more Cali than that!
This summer we’ve spent much more time in Malibu… especially at the Malibu Pier…
We drive out in the evenings and eat at Malibu Farm…
Drink some smoothies…
And watch the sunset.
When Parker was in beach camp… I’d take Avery for breakfast…
And watch the surfers at 1st Point (which is where I like to surf).
Manhattan beach makes the rounds too… especially on the weekend (this photo is taken at The Point).
The ocean really is my happy place…
