It was the quote heard round the fashion world! “These I like because as far as I’m concerned leopard is a neutral,” stated style icon and J. Crew Director Jenna Lyons. Now… it might have been stated before, but from this woman… it has become “bible”!

I tend to tread lightly with leopard. No BIG statements… more of a trendy touch or two. Paired with white, navy or black… YES… leopard is a do!

For example, this weekend’s anniversary date night brought out my killer shoe!

Sporting some leopard booties with navy stripes (a pattern on pattern that mixes masterfully)… oh… and a 5.5 month bump ;).

If you prefer your leopard toned down (even from my heel height)… I’ve rounded up some fab accessories you might want to wrangle up for the winter!

1. J. Crew Loafer //  2. B. Brian Atwood Wedge Bootie // 3. C. Wonder Studded Belt // 4. Clare Vivier Foldover Clutch

In the home, I’m even less inclined to use this oh-so-fashionable pattern. If I did… I would use it, as stated above, as an accessory. Upholstered on an accent like an x-bench would make just the right amount of statement for me.

Going BIG scares me a bit… like on a full stair runner as seen here from the editor of Real Simple…

… but Erin Gates, from Elements Of Style, was so inspired by the above that she replicated the look in her new home… and I think the result is GORGEOUS! (It’s actually cheetah, from Glen Eden.)

How do you dare to do leopard in your life?
