I hinted here that my 40 and Fabulous New York Birthday trip would need some fabulous new duds… and as promised… I present to you the first of two super fun style posts dedicated to the adventure!
If you follow any fashion bloggers… you KNOW that Anine Bing is a “go-to” among the stylish set… and I know exactly why. Her pieces are streamlined and easy to layer, with a European edge (leather pieces to die for) and sensibility. They are “simply sexy”… and for me… the perfect example of what a sleek city girl would have in her wardrobe, which is why a stuido visit before NYC was a MUST for me!
A model for ten to fifteen years, it was a natural transition for Anine to break into the designing business. But what propelled her was the need to create a line of basic pieces she felt were missing from the current market… relaxed, basic layers with her signature stamp of flexible flare (think bohemian rocker chic).
It’s no wonder she’s a fave of superstar fashion bloggers such as Julie Sarinana, of Sincerely Jules… she just has that everyday appeal that’s irresistible. In fact, Anine credits a huge part of her brand’s growth to the love she has received from the blogging world. One post from a blogger like Julie… and hundreds of thousands of girls are clamoring for that “signature” pair of pants or leather moto jacket!
Anine is also a working mom… which only adds to her appeal (how does she do it all… and look so fabulous? See pics below!). Two month old baby Benjamin just joined her growing family. She has a daughter, Bianca, who is two and half.
If you are a fan… I advise you to take a trip downtown to Anine’s bright, white and beautiful LA studio. She couldn’t be any sweeter, and GUARANTEED you will fall in love with her… and the clothes.
