The personal residence of designer Dee Murphy of Murphy Deesign, this home is a historically designated property by the city of Los Angeles in West Adams. Built in 1920 by architect Edward Butler Rust in a French Revival style, Dee has designed the interior to reflect her love of color, pattern, history and travels.
Dee turned a tiny, indefinable room into a guest quarters with built-in bunk beds, storage and details that feel as if you have been transported into a historical train car.
