It was a tough job… but someone had to do it… judge the FABULOUS Pinterest boards submitted to the Thomas Lavin Showroom Runway to Room Contest, that is!

I joined fellow judges Jeff Andrews, Kelly Lee, and the adorable (check out his style!) Thomas Lavin at his showroom at the Pacific Design Center, and with the help of a little “bubbly” on that gorgeous afternoon, we narrowed down the entries to one standout winner… and of course two honorable mentions that deserve some kudos themselves!

Without a doubt Kelly and I had to re-create our turbans… no other “thinking cap” would do… or would look so chic ;). (Oh… and have you checked out the winner’s stunning swag in the background… SO gorgeous in person!)

Without further ado… CHEERS to Nancy Quynh… you deserve to rest your creative little head on those lovely pillows! Can you send us a pic of where you end up placing them in your home?

Here’s what the judges had to say:

Dee: “Nancy’s board caught my eye from the get-go and I haven’t been able to tear away since! I’m a sucker for blue, black and brass… and the sculptural pieces she has chosen, whether it be art or furniture, add interest to and draw the eye throughout the entire (imagined) space!”

Jeff: “Amazing taste! These pieces could make for a chic room or home!”

Kelly: “Perfect balance of masculine and feminine elements. Super chic!”

Honorary mentions go to  Annette Vartanian and Zandrea Penn. You also made quite an impression with your boards!

Here are my thoughts:

On Annette: “This board is girly glam (pinks and golds and mirrors, oh my!), but with just enough masculine pieces (credenza, barcelona chair, sofa) thrown in to make your dude feel comfortable. I’d love to sit back and have a cocktail and conversation here.”

On Zandrea: “Go bold or go home (preferably to this one!). Love the statement making color-scheme (same one I used in my wedding… so it makes me very happy ;).”

Thanks again to everyone who participated, judged and made this contest possible… and a BIG shout out to Fred Baby, photographer extraordinaire, for the perfect pics!
