My first instinct is to tell the story about my marriage to my college sweetheart (hitting the 15 year milestone this June), which is my favorite love story of all time because it’s all mine ours. Instead I’ll share one about my husband’s parents – Tom & MaryLee Myers. They married young, had two kids (Wendy & my husband Jeff) and as some young marriages go, they grew up and apart, hitting a wall of indifference which caused them to separate and eventually divorce. But love, as cliché as it sounds, is a very powerful thing. It can bring a couple back together again after nine years – to court each other, work on their differences and eventually marry each other, again. How rare is it to come to a crossroads and know that you truly need the other in order to move forward in life? They are an inspiration and an amazing example of what it takes to truly love someone unconditionally.
