I’m thrilled to be able to share my family’s Californian love story. We recently moved from my hometown of Chicago to Los Angeles and have been busy exploring many of the neighborhoods around the city. Lately our weekends have consisted of mini trips to cities like Santa Barbara, Palm Springs, and San Diego. It seems as though we just can’t get enough of the perpetual sunshine and great outdoors! In fact, just this week we’ve experienced our first 80° February! Trust me when I say that flip flops in “winter” is a beautiful thing. My four-year-old son Gavin adores the beaches, zoos, and seasonal fare at local farmers’ markets. He also recently met Mickey Mouse during our first magical visit to Disneyland. The last seven months have been so refreshing and therapeutic as we’ve be surrounded by palm trees and mountains without the intrusion of sleet and slush. Patrick, Gavin, and I are having an absolute blast settling into SoCal lifestyle and are loving our new found wanderlust.
