LA folks get truly GIDDY when “Fall” approaches (see previous post). I was born in October, and I think this is a part of my penchant to glorify this time of year… and to own a whole closet-full of coats that were shipped to NYC so that I could wear each and every one… like… more than once!

But to TRULY grasp the season… one must leave the city and get out into the countryside. Lucky for us, we happen to have family in Connecticut that lives on the most jaw-dropping piece of land, surrounded by big ‘ol barns and rolling hills. The stuff fall dreams are made of people…

I could have stayed there all day and photographed this troop of amazing cousins… but it was chilly and they had other ideas…

I mean…

… at least someone wasn’t camera shy (lucky for me 😉 ).

But I caught this nugget too.

Back at the homestead…

Leaves fell like rain.

… and camouflage was at its finest.

But back in the city… someone else was showing off.

Ok NYC… you have my heart.
