If you follow my Facebook and Instagram… you’ve learned that I will be designing a window at this year’s La Cienega Design Quarter Legends 2014.

I found out a few weeks ago that I would be blessed with this opportunity… but OH what a crazy opportunity this is! You see… it was through a stroke of good fortune (I prefer to use the words good fortune instead of luck)… that I was graced with this project and I will be a part of a group of 40 other designers (very established, award-winning designers)! GAH… the PRESSURE… I can barely finish a blog post these days!

But again… back to the good fortune. You see… I believe this was meant to be… because this event is so very dear to me.

Two years ago I was inspired to start this blog and one of my first outings was the Legends event. I met Susanna Salk, author and overall inspiration, and my path was made clear to me (through her words and through the “windows to the world“)… I would blog, and I would design as a professional.

Last year, I popped on over to the event (solo again), and I happened to meet the lovely Miss Kelly Lee of Kelly GoLightly… and we became fast friends, and eventually collaborators. Through Kelly, I have met so many more lovely people and have had the joy of a year full of new friends and faces that have become my blogging and design family.

This year… I design. It’s my passion… and I am so unbelievably excited. NERVOUS… but excited. I really want to knock it out of the park y’all… I just have to squeeze every minute out of this next week and half that I can (so if you don’t hear from me until May 6… you’ll know why)!

This year’s theme? Novel Interiors: Storytelling By Design! Oooooh… I love a good story, and telling one too. A big thanks to all who have made this happen for me… you know who you are… fairy tales do come true ;)…

With Susanna Salk… Can’t wait to get this year’s signed book Decorate Fearlessly!

The ever-so-stylish Miss Kelly Lee!

Oh… just a LEGEND to me… Kelly Wearstler

The gorgeous fabrics from MK Colletion (the storefront I will be designing)… that inspired the novel I chose.

Stay tuned!
